“Do not allow yourself to suppress your thoughts. Instead, let the thoughts come before you and become a sort of observer. Start observing your own mind. Do not try to escape; do not be afraid of your thinking.”
Josslyn is not currently doing Hypnosis with clients as she can do more with Reiki Psychic Healing. But, she is happy to refer you to some very good Hypnotherapists locally if you would like her to.
Hypnotherapy with Josslyn
Josslyn completed two years of Hypnotherapy training from Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Tarzana, CA in 2000. She is qualified to work with clients on most issues not requiring a Psychologist or Psychiatrist. And is willing to work with your doctors to help you on your healing journey. Issues, such as, stress relief, depression, self-empowerment, removing emotional blocks, self-esteem and confidence building, grief, fears and phobias, addictions, and much more.
Past Life Regression
Josslyn’s real passion with using hypnotherapy is for past life regression. She has been called a time traveller by more than one psychic. Exploring past lives is not just fun, it is incredibly therapeutic. Many physical, mental, emotional and spiritual ailments can be cleared up with this therapy. It is quite amazing. Josslyn has helped clients in the past with eczema, fears, phobias, addictions, physical aches and pains, depression, lack of self-esteem and self-confidence, birth trauma that she can think of. Hypnotherapy is extremely empowering to the client as well because they are directly involved in the healing that is taking place.
Hypnotherapy Combined with Energy Healing
However, Josslyn uses hypnotherapy as a combined healing technique to the energy healing by choice. She has found from years of experience that she can do all and more with the energy healing combined with hypnotherapy. She uses her intuition as to when the client needs which modality that she offers. She feels it is important to have many modalities available because everyone is different and every situation is different. Some situations a client is working on may call for energy healing and some may do better with hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is highly beneficial when a client wants to experience past life regression for themselves and/or work on their visualization skills with a qualified Hypnotherapist by their side. This is how Josslyn initially worked on her visualization abilities.
If you are looking specifically for someone only to do hypnotherapy then Josslyn would be happy to refer you to someone locally in Sequim who specializes in that.

What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of selective, focused attention, and, even though it is 100% natural and normal, it remains one of the most fascinating phenomena of the human mind. Our ability to enter this unique state of consciousness opens the door to countless possibilities for healing, self-exploration and change.
The focused state of hypnosis allows changes to intentionally be made “automatically”, changes that we could not ordinarily consciously make.
Hypnosis has been used in the treatment of pain, depression, anxiety, stress, habit disorders, self-empowerment, grief and sadness, addictions, and many other psychological and medical problems.
What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?
When hypnotized the client feels very calm and peaceful. They will feel that they are in a very deep state of relaxation but always having full control over their behavior. A person will never do anything under hypnosis that they would not do normally. When hypnotized, an individual is very open to suggestions that can enhance the positive and diminish the negative physical and emotional reactions.
Most people have experienced hypnosis in their every day lives. Have you ever drive home from work, pulled into your driveway and then all of a sudden realized you’d gotten home and wondering how you got there? Maybe you forgot the last five or ten minutes of the drive? You made every stop, turned every turn and got home safely but don’t remember all of it? This happens more often than we’d like to believe due to overly stressful days. After a day of too much input (stress) our mind goes on autopilot, when we were actually functioning in a completely different part of our brain, in a hypnotic state so to speak.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Some people find it easier to relax than others. By the same token, some people are able to go into trance more quickly and more deeply than others. About 85% of people can go into at least a light trance. For most therapeutic goals, light trance is enough to enable almost everyone to benefit from hypnotherapy to some extent.
Will I be asleep or unconscious?
The word hypnosis comes from the ancient Greek word ‘Hypnos’ meaning sleep, but it is improperly named. Hypnosis is NOT sleep. Sleep and hypnosis may seem similar since we may be relaxed and have our eyes closed (although not necessarily), but there are many differences. One main difference is that we tend to be in a relaxed state, but with heightened awareness! If a person were to fall asleep during a session, they would return to normal consciousness when asked to, or simply awaken after a short nap. They would feel refreshed, relaxed and would have no ill effects at all.
“I don’t think I was hypnotized–I heard every word you said!”
Some people, after a session of hypnosis, don’t believe that they were hypnotized at all. This likely comes from misconceptions about just what a ‘trance’ really is. There are differences between the brain waves of people who are asleep and those who are in trance. In practice, people who are hypnotized often talk with the hypnotist, and can both answer and ask questions, hear everything that is said very clearly, and are perfectly well aware.
